GHRI research culture

Over 200 staff members work at Group Health Research Institute (GHRI) with a commitment to improve health care services worldwide. In return, the Institute provides staff with excellent benefits, including medical coverage for staff and eligible dependents from the first day of work. We have a relaxed yet academic working environment and value diversity.

Our staff is working on over 150 active research projects many of which are multi-site and conducted in collaboration with other institutions, including the University of Washington, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and Harvard and Duke universities.

Group Health programs provide fertile ground for researchers' inquiries while GHRI research helps the Cooperative build health improvement programs and data systems that measure outcomes. Using the Co-op's sophisticated databases, GHRI researchers can study the health care experiences of our real world ‘laboratory,' a defined population of nearly 600,000 Group Health enrollees.
