CHS 25th Anniversary Lecture

Mark D. Smith, MD, MBA, president and chief executive officer of the California HealthCare Foundation, presented a keynote address at the Group Health Center for Health Studies' "25th Anniversary Summit on the Integrated Model as a Catalyst for Reform."  Smith delivered the lecture on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall in Seattle.

Titled "How can Group Health save American health care? Three modest research proposals," Smith's friendly and provocative talk suggests strategies for lowering costs and expanding reach while focusing on the dimensions of quality that members care about most.
