Abstract:

  1. Evaluate whether the use of exogenous postmenopausal hormones is associated with the risk of interval breast cancer vs. screen detected cancer.
  2. Examine whether the formulation and dose of HRT are associated with the risk of interval breast cancer.
  3. Evaluate whether HRT is related to tumor aggressiveness and whether this association explains, in part, any association of HRT with the risk of interval breast cancer.
  4. Evaluate whether HRT is related to mammographic breast density and whether this association explains in part, any association of HRT with the risk of interval breast cancer.
