Breast cancer surveillance is the processes of following how many women get breast cancer screening each year using mammography and other tests.
Women at Group Health are included if they have a mammogram or other test for breast cancer. Other tests include:
- biopsies (a small piece of tissue taken from the breast and sent to a lab for analysis),
- breast surgeries,
- other breast imaging like ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
